Rockaway Festival 2012
After what it seems like an eternity of waiting, Livescape finally revealed their method for mosh-pit mayhem. Taking a few notches up from last year's line-up, Rockaway Festival 2012 sets to feature an excitingly interesting line up. This year's offering includes legendary metal masters led by the incomparable Max Cavalera, Soulfly, punk phenomenon, MxPx All Stars and metalcore sensation, Unearth. American pop punk punters, Set Your Goals will be also joining the mainstage alongside Macbeth chosen bands, which includes, the fun loving Indonesians, Pee Wee Gaskins and the highly energetic, Plainsunset from Singapore.
On the local forefront, Malaysia's rock scene heavyweights, Love Me Butch and Hujan return with tons of new material to showcase. Highlights are also the return of ska specialists, Gerhana Ska Cinta who will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary at Rockaway, and the highly prolific underground scene legends, Koffin Kanser. Joining them are the highly popular, Bunkface, I, Revival, The Padangs, Go Gerila, Massacre Conspiracy and Twilight Actiongirl.
In addition to that, there will be a special WKND Sessions Stage, perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in top quality indie music from around Malaysia: performing on the day will be Akta Angkasa, Citizens of Ice Cream, Darren Ashley, Guba, OJ Law, Joe PV, Johnny Comes Lately, Sphere, Coic, Muck and Dizkopolis. Malaysia's most influential indie icon, OAG has been added into the this amazing pool of talents.
This year's festival that is set to take place at the Helipad located in Sepang International Circuit on 20 October 2012 is in conjunction with the inaugural, Moto GP. Moto GP ticket buyers are entitled to 20% discount off Rockaway Festival tickets.
There will be FREE shuttle busses for Rockaway Festival ticket holders that will take them from KL Sentral to Sepang International Circuit and vice versa. These shuttle busses will begin their route at 11am on festival day. Updates on the full timetable will be posted up on the festival's website soon, www.rockawayfest.com.
