Who can forget last year´s sold-out
Junk by Demand show with Kings Of Convenience?
Desperate lines at the door hoping to pick up whatever spare tickets there were, a venue packed to the
rafters, and not surprisingly, a show dubbed by many to be one of the best intimate shows of the year.
Well, while Kings Of Convenience is not swinging by again, prolific Erlend Øye (one-half of the
Kings Of Convenience) will be back in town with his other band,
The Whitest Boy Alive.
Founded in 2003 as an electronic dance music project, this Norwegian-German quartet has evolved over the
years into a band without any programmed elements. Groovy elements of funk and disco, coupled with
infectious melodies are sprinkled generously throughout their sound. With a growing fan base of its own,
closely in tow.
With two albums to its credit, 2006´s
"Dreams" and 2009´s
"Rules", The Whitest Boy Alive´s knack for making melodious
dance/pop music with conventional rock band instruments shines right through in tracks like
"Burning", "Gravity", and
"1517".
This world tour sees them hitting Colombia and Mexico before swinging into Asia. And TOPMAN & Junk are happy to bring
them to Kuala Lumpur!
